(Apology for this following post will eat up such a very long space on your screen. For i just want to record/share such WORDS from a friend and “guru” of mine to me or perhaps to whoever is in the midst of such circumstances. Kindly skip/unshare me if necessary ✌😁)
“I just accepted whatever that is being thrown at me. The more you resist, the harder the hit. I accepted that my practice will take a back seat and if I can manage practice on weekends, I’ll be happy. It’s about setting and managing expectations. I accepted it as my dharma, my responsibility at that point in time, and if I don’t act it out, it will cause more suffering, not to me only, but to others also. I sought out support from you guys, that helped a lot. Surrendering the self to God helps to keep the disillusionment checked. It was a tough period, but an interesting experience that made me stronger. That’s valuable.
Take baby steps angie. You’ll learn along the way. Compared to when you first started out, you would see yourself getting wiser by the years.
In yoga, there’s a philosophy that states that when you’re not working for yourself, your actions are not for your ownself, and you’re working for a greater force, God as we know, our attitude towards the action will be different. We will not expect the fruits of our actions, and stay equipoise in all situations-happy or sad, good or bad. I’m still a long way from there. But starting with awareness, like how you start to be aware of your body in yoga, is first step to reaching your potential. Namaste 🙏” -MH
